A 10 week technical course to get you proficient in the foundations of Olympic Weight Lifting.
If you're an absolute beginner, this will give you a great start. If you're already doing your own training, this will help to hone your technique and see your performance improve.
The sport of Weightlifting demands a combination of many aspects of athleticism. To be effective you must be fast, strong, agile, mobile and powerful to name just a few. Our Olympic Lifting courses give you the building blocks to develop these attributes with a focus towards Olympic Lifting performance.
As part of our Olympic Lifting beginners’ course, you will be taught the fundamentals of Olympic Weightlifting and learn to perform the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. Your performance will be assessed and monitored throughout the course in order to measure your improvement. For those with some prior weightlifting experience why not try our intermediate Olympic Lifting course.
This course is for those who are already confident lifters and want to take their weightlifting performance to the next level.
The ten-week course includes:
- Two coach led classes per week
- Online video content and
- Two additional programmed sessions for those who want to maximise their progress
- Access to the gym to carry out additional training
The class will be kept to 8 people in order to ensure that you get a good level of personal tuition from the coach.
Classes are Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm(Beginner), 5pm (Beginner)and 6pm (Intermediate).
